My name is Debbie, and I am an independent carer, living and working in and around Chatham, Rochester and Maidstone, Kent. I believe that life should be lived to the full and that everyone deserves to feel special whatever their age or ability. After working for other home care companies, I set up Golden Autumn because I wanted to offer something different... Golden Autumn offers respite days or half days (minimum 4 hours) for older people in their own homes. A Golden Autumn journey always begins with high quality personalised care - then you can really make it your by selecting from a range of luxury pampering treatments and life-enhancing horticultural therapy...

Other information

I first started working as a carer almost seven years ago. I'd always enjoyed working with people but increasingly felt that I wanted to do something that would make a real difference in people's lives. Since then I have been privileged to work with some amazing clients who have inspired me in many ways and given me the confidence and motivation to start up Golden Autumn. Over the years I have supported clients with a wide range of health conditions, including dementia, Parkinson's, stroke, multiple sclerosis, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, epilepsy, incontinence and sensory impairment, as well as providing end of life (palliative) care. I am Level 2 Health and Social Care qualified, dementia trained, fully insured, up to date with annual training requirements and DBS checked.
